After graduating from Southampton Solent University in 1992, I moved to London and began my IT career as an Account Executive with Insight Direct (UK) Ltd. In 1995 I became a Pricing and Bid Analyst for the IT distributor Merisel (UK) Ltd. and my daily duties included negotiating and securing high-volume special bid pricing from major IT vendors such as Microsoft, Adobe, IBM, HP, Canon, etc.
I fell in Love with the Internet in the early nineties and in 1996 with my business partner Daniel Smith, we formed a web design company called Ytec Ltd. I have worked on leading internet projects from the infancy of the word-wide-web and one of Ytec’s high profile clients was the design, build and upkeep of the Tefal UK website.
In 1997, I left Ytec and joined Bluewave Ltd. who were at the time one of the most creative web design agency in London. I account managed blue-chip clients for Bluewave and in 1998 was employed by IN.form Design Ltd. to account manage projects such as the Lotus Cars website.
After a successful career as an Account Manager with Bluewave and IN.form Design, I went on to join Floorless Media as Project Manager. I worked on a variety of exciting digital solutions with Floorless Media from 2000 through to 2007.
Since 2007 to-date, I have been working full-time as a self-employed Internet Developer mostly with start-ups to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and charities.
